A new survey co-headed by Prime Access, a gay focused ad agency and PlanetOut, a global media and entertainment company just came out with a survey to identify the most gay friendly brands; while the rainbow colored Apple predictibly ranked in the highest tier, Samsung is for whatever reason seen as very not gay friendly.
The survey was complied of 1,502 general population respondents and 757 from the gay and lesbians community, and here are some odd trends I noticed after reading the report:
- Though being gay is okay, being old isn't. The survey only includes people ages 18-64.
- Exxon Mobil is viewed as a company not gay friendly, but I think this might be taken out of context. Gay or straight, can you find anyone happy with the price of oil these days?
-The Gay Mafia might not exist, but don't tell that to the Gay Mafia. The survey found that from financial services to fragrances; gay people are ahead of the curve on every trend. They're twice as likely to say friends seek their advice, 60% as opposed to 34% for straight people.
No word if they really did use their incredible influence to destroy Michael Ovitz though.
