Nokia 5700 XpressMusic Review: twists & shouts

Photo thanks to Engadget
Is it just me or does this sucker kind of remind you of a Rubik's Cube?
What they're actually going for with the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic with the twisting keypad is more like a boombox, which it almost resembles when you lay it on it's side. The music plays from the cell phone's integrated speakers, optimized with a "dedicated audio chip" which I guess is an upgrade from the "going through the motions" audio chip featured on the XpressMusic 3250. Not just for music, the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic also twists to access three other functions; the 2 Megapixel camera, video call and the smartphone toy box.
Running on high-speed 3G, the cell phone has the wherewithal to download media and with an optional 2GB MicroSD card it has some nice closet space for storage; up to 1,500 songs.
The only downside is the anti-American bias; the is Nokia 5700 XpressMusic so far only scheduled to be released in Europe starting in 2007’s second quarter.
