Nokia N95

Nokia N95 firmware update here

It looks like the US3G N95 has gotten a nip and tuck a little bit early.

While Nokia had announced that they'd be releasing a new firmware editon of the N95 on the internet in June; they beat their own target and have already debuted the update online. The tune up includes boot up time being truncated from 30 to 19 seconds, camera load time has shrunk to 2 seconds, and a bunch of new games are offered including Midnight Pool, Sudoku, and a collection of N-Gage demos.

Nokia N95 8GB release date: now

It's not that much an event, not with the Nokia N96 likely to hit stores 4 or 5 months later, but the 8GB version of the Nokia N95 has finally arrived in the United States. For about $749, the Nokia N95 8GB comes with high-speed HSDPA connectivity, a free 6 month subscription to Nokia's navigation service, most notably Nokia Maps, and a 5-Mega-Pixel Carl Zeiss camera.

Nokia N95 8GB: now SlingBox ready

I'm pretty much on record as believing the slingbox is the greatest invention of the history of humanity. Sending to you your home cable signal through the internet, it's what will allow me to mooch off of my parent's TV until the day they die.

Nokia N96 Review: the specs

What’s the difference between Motorola and Nokia? When Motorola makes their best phone ever, they rest on their laurels and just kind of take the next five years off. Nokia on the other hand, they make their best phone ever in the form of the Nokia N95 and come right back this year with the upcoming Nokia N96.

Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress last month, a review of the Nokia N96’s specs reveals a multimedia behemoth. Apart from the 16GB tank of memory, the Nokia N96 offers such digital candy as a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss optics camera, DVD quality 30 frames a second video, viewable in formats including MPEG-4, Windows Media Video and Flash Video.

In selected models, the duel slider Nokia N96 will also come with a DVB-H TV tuner, so you can watch live TV on your cell phone. Be it live TV or a DVD quality movie, you should be able to see the images clearly on the 2.8-inch screen, and hands free, provided you take advantage of the back cover’s kick stand.

Nokia N95 - The Most Anticipated Mobile Phone for 2007

nokia_n95.jpgIt's hard to pigeonhole Nokia's flagship multimedia device, the N95, as a mobile phone. Due in January 2007, it combines a quadband handset and a 5 megapixel camera, integrated GPS, 802.11g WiFi, HSDPA, microSD, 150MB of internal memory and pretty much any other spec you could ever care to have stuffed into your phone by a Finnish multimedia computer manufacturer.

Feel Free to Start Drooling over the Nokia N95

nokia n95.bmpNokia recently dropped the word on their N95 multimedia computer. Yes that's right, Nokia prefers to call it a "computer" since it is said to revolutionize mobile computing, though I personally think "cellphone" still has a better 'ring' to it (pun intended).
