Okay, I just made that last part, although if you're a Motorola employee that might be true with their layoffs and all but the main point is Motorola has decided to cancel research and production on the third generation of RAZR phones, code named Ruby, before it is even brought to market. 

With Motorola profit margins shrinking to soccer score levels in the past year (when still existing at all) it makes sense that the cell phone manufacture would try to use sex to sell their new Motorola Razr 2; but David Beckham?

What does that actually say about your product when you compare yourself with Beckham?

That it's overrated? Overpriced? That it was better the first time around? That it breaks down easily?

It seems like a paradox, but even as cell phone manufactures sold a record 1.02 billion units in 2006, the profit margin for the industry has taken a severe hit.
