oh god, this phone is a piece of real shits of problems. some days before my 8gb iphone freezed up the lower touch areas and after that, i restored. but now, i m pissed off. it's not working now at all except call receive via handsfree only.

I was trying to get installer.app programm to my iphone... when it downloaded and I installed it then my iPhone just kept to show me two kind of pictures or whatever... one is the starting picture where is apple logo on black screen and then it comes this pic where it says me to connect my iPhone with the cable that leads to computer and iTunes logo.. well it's connected to computer with the cable but it doesn't matter because the pic won't change..:S.. and you know sometimes it's going black like a standby mode but after every 10 minutes or something like that

I purchased my 8 GB i phone in February. After 3 months of basic use it stared to freeze up. I went to the apple store and they suggested I back up and restore. Done. It slowly has been giving me more and more problems. On a trip away from home it started turning off on me. the only way to work the phone was to plug it in. The battery was full. I talked to apple care and they suggested once I get home I back it up and restore again. Done. It won't come on at all. Mailed it to apple and they told me it had water damage. I never had it near water! This in not under warrenty care now. It's going to cost me $250.00 out of pocket at least to repair. Do I really want to? Has any one else had this issue?

Hello, I have had my I-Phone since Jan and works fine I have even dropped it and the screen smashed. (Can't afford a new one at the moment!) but anyway everything works I live in the UK and use O2 as my network but there is one thing I can't do is forward text messages on which is a bit of a bummer but hey overall I love this phone.

Need some help with my iphone. I dropped the phone and it fell on the stand-by/power button which got stuck. Beacuse of which the iphone kept restarting itself. I also am having problems with my iphone not working. :( Only the top half of my touchscreen is responsive all the sudden and I cant even slide to unlock my phone, text, place or answer phone calls!! I have had an iPhone basically since it came out. You have pretty much done an amazing job listing all of its "flaws" However when you say

"There's no HOME or STOP buttons on the internet browser, and the period and comma buttons don't appear on the main keyboard screen."

This is fairly untrue. Right next to the web browser you have a refresh or stop button, just sometimes that bar will retract wile you are surfing just like the option to make your task bar minimize on a regular computer... Also the home page thing is semi-correct you need to add your home page to your favorites and click on that or make a link on you actual iPhone home. Pretty stupid I agree.

There are a couple more flaws, one major. It has caused me to go through four iPhones and three sim cards attempting to find out the problem. The first more simple one is my second and third iphone froze quite often and I would have to just let it "chill" for a bit or it would start to trip out and flash from the home screen to the screen saver back to the solid black screen until it calmed down and begun to work again. I have not had that problem yet with my current iPhone.

The second I have still not quite got my head around. It has to do with Apple & AT&T's connection. I get more doped calls than I do successful calls. The weird part is I will have full service, the first time I went and got a new sim card... still happened so I went and exchanged my iPhone... and updated everything, still happened. Then I went back and ended up with a third phone this one was even worse and if I did make a successful call it would eventually become impossible for the other person to hear me or vise - versa. I re-donloaded iTunes, Defragged my computer, everything! Then I went and got another new sim and activated it at the actually apple store... still happened. Now I am on my fourth iPhone.

I have decided it is just a glitch with the version I am on even though it has happened with every version I have had it had just gotten worse with every update except the most recent it is actually at about a 20% unsuccessful call ratio. I have decided it is not my actually phone or AT&T but Apple and AT&T's connection and they just need to figure that out.... so I am pretty much stuck waiting hoping people will leave voice mails so I can call them back or text me.

Which it can also take up too 6 hours for me to get a voice mail, and about half of the time, people will call me and they will either get a busy signal or it will go to my voice mail and not alert me I received a call. Its all crazy, but what can you do? It’s an amazing phone aside from this problem and everything else you listed. I believe half of these things you listed Apple porously left out for when the new version comes around. Very useful list however… there where a few things I though I had just not figured out yet, but you clarified my phone was just lacking.

i just got my iphone a week ago and it freezes on me everyday...
i mean fair enough all you need to do it press the button at the top of the iphone and the home button at the same time for a while then it restarts but a phone that costs £300 should NOT freeze in the first place.
also for that amount of money u would expect it to have all the basics that a normal phone has.. e.g: bluetooth, zoom on camera and flash on camera, MMS, video camera.

personally i think its pathetic how they can sell this phone for so much.
i still have mine but im thinkin of puttin it on ebay and stickin to sony erricsson walkman fones.

I bought a new iPhone 8GB in late January 2008. Fifteen days after purchase, the phone completely died. AT&T won't take the phone back after 14 days. I exchanged the phone for a new one at our local Apple store. After only 5 days, it died too. The second time it failed it nearly burned my hand it was so hot. Apple is offering another exchange or refund minus 10% restocking fee. Somehow paying Steve $40 doesn't seem equitable. I've got a better idea. How about I sue Apple and AT&T in small claims court in Buffalo, New York - in February! I'll be seeking damages of $400 plus attorneys' fees at $300/hour. Oh yeah - I put the phone on my Amex card and am instructing Amex not to pay AT&T.

I have been completely unsatisfied with Apple.

Purchased an iPhone my my 15 year old daughter for Christmas @ an ATT store of 21DEC07. On 25DEC07, the iPhone would not sync, so I had to replace through the ATT store it was purchased and was charged a $39.90 re-stocking fee on 12JAN08. Then the replacement's screen went blank. So another $39.9- re-stocking fee. So now I'm into this iPhone for over $480. Scheduled an appointment today @ 1:00pm @ the local Apple store in Jacksonville,FL. Was 2 minutes late and my appointment was cancelled. I was offered another appt. in 2 hrs. Unacceptable.

Apple has lost a customer and I plan on spreading the news of Apple's iPhone quality issues and poor customer support.

the iphone is great u say it doesn't have zoom but you can download this now on the iphone's built in installer aswell as many other games and soundsets etc. The internet goes just as fast as your wi fi so dnt blame the phone. I'm from the UK and i hven't had half the amount of problems. The sound on my phone is fine but i do have the problem where when i'm on safari it goes bck to the homepage. But at the moment my phone ran out of battery and when i go to charge it it won't any ideas? I dropped it a few days earlier and it sed no sim but the sim ddnt fall out but then it was working fine could it have anything to do with this?

Worked well until I figured out how to use all the features.

My phone drops calls and fails several times a day. Apple replaced it yesterday and the new one does the same. Never dropped a call with my AT&T Razor phone but this thing is horrible. Seems to be worse the more features I use (Ipod, notes, calendar ..etc.)

I loved the phone for two days and i wake up today and the stupid keys are locked at the bottom of my texts and so is my send button i have to drive 30 mins tomorrow to get it fixed at apple cuz the dumb apple people on the phone cant even help me!!!!!!!!does any one know what to do ????

My boss just got the iphone and indeed at a first glance it was wao! but after some days....we realized that the volume is hopeless..(can hardly hear what callers are saying) moreso it gets so hot you will have to put it down. The headphones aint working and ...to think that she would have to ship it down to the US to replace the battery from Lagos, Nigeria, Africa...

I guess it aint worth it after all....
