capturing lighting on a cell phone

Okay, so I'll admit it's kind of a slow news day, but Jesse Ferrell of the Weather Matrix blog was so facinating by this picture of lightning that I became facinated by his facination.

Apparently what makes it so unique is it's extreme rare to capture lightning on a still camera, because it happens so fast. And not only did Jesse's coworker Ethan capture lightning, he did it with a Blackberry Pearl 8130, a phone with only a 2-mega-pixel camera.

Proving that more than a fancy camera, lucky timing is the key ingredent to memorable picture.
