XM Satellite Control RoomIf until now you have been listening to XM radio in your car or at home like me, you will soon be able to listen to XM radio (commercial free satellite radio channels) on your Alltel cellphone. Like every other good service there is a price to: invest a $7.99 flat fee per month and you will be able to listen to 20 channels commercial free unlimited as much that you want.

Some of the most popular channels include the 70s, 80s and 90s decades channels, Top 20 on 20 (Top 20 Hits), Ethel (New Alternative Rock), The City (Hip-Hop/R&B Hits), XMU (India Rock), Blues Ville (Blues), Highway 16 (New Country Hits), and Viva (Latin Pop Hits). It is been set up by XM Radio so that you will be able to choose the channels by genre, and if you have a compatible handset you will also be able to view on the phone screen the song title, artist and album.

This exciting new application is made by MobiTV which you probably know as the biggest provider of television and digital radio services for cellular. This big move was made shortly after Sprint announced on a similar partnership with Sirius Satellite radio. What will the next big move be…?!
