Travis closer to Nokia N76, still far from relevant

Travis: wrote boring songs way before Keane picked up on the ideaAs the only musical Travis I can name check is the drummer for Blink 182, this promotion probably isn’t going to make waves stateside; but that actually makes sense as the Nokia N76 has never official been offered in the U.S. anyway.

However if you live in Europe, Asia, or the Middle East and want a multimedia clamshell computer phone that also let’s you hear Travis “sing, sing, sing…” –good lord, your taste is specific! But congratulations, because the Nokia N76 has the hook up; it’s shipping with a voucher to download 5 pre-selected Travis songs from MSN music, including “Closer”, the first single from Travis’ much anticipated upcoming album “The Boy With No Name”, which of course is a sequel to the album “The Name with No Boy”. I can’t wait to find out how this trilogy ends.

Not to belittle the Nokia N76; which has a lot of competitive features such as a 3rd edition S60 Symbian operating system, a 2 megapixel camera, and up to 2GB of expandable memory; but assuming downloading a song costs 99 cents, that basically means Nokia is basing this marketing campaign around saving consumers 5 whole bucks. Be still my beating heart. If 99 cents is still out of your price range, you can listen on the right to the Travis song "Closer" for free.
