Usually when someone sues McDonald's it's over something like the coffee being too hot or a dead rat in the salad, but this time it's apparently their lost and found policy. 

See Phillip Sherman of Arkansas, who will thus forth be referred to as the idiot, forgot his cell phone after eating in McDonald's. He called McDonald and they agreed to keep his phone safe until he had chance to pick it up. He did get his phone back but a few days later noticed that naked pictures of his wife Tina that had been on the cell phone were now all over the internet.

Aside from general embarrassment, Tina and the idiot's phone number phone number were also posted and a series of lewd and harassing phone calls and text messages ensued from Tina's new adoring public. 

Anyway, long story short, Sherman has decided to sue McDonald's $3 million for all the emotional distress. His case might seem far fetched now but remember the woman who sued McDonald's for their coffee being too hot? She ended up winning $2.86 million dollars from a jury.
