The LG Chocolate Goes 3G
As most people I loved the Lg Chocolate phone but was sort of disappointed with the 1.3-megapixel and lack of an expandable memory slot or 3G connectivity. Well apparently Lg has been sneaking around behind my back working on a new phone that is supposed to make up for these annoying flaws: a 3G version of the Chocolate phone called the KU800. Apparently they have already closed a deal with Vodafone but so far have only launched the beauty in Germany.
The Chocolate KU800 is slightly thicker and heavier than the original Chocolate phone, measuring 46mm wide by 95mm tall by 17mm thick and weighing 98g. It is also said to have less internal memory, with only 60MB instead of 128MB. But on the other hand, it features a 2-megapixel camera, expandable microSD slot and 3G connectivity with a secondary VGA camera for video calls (so I guess you can't blame it for getting a little chunkier.) One thing I can't figure out is why according to the spec sheet on the Vodafone Germany site, the KU800's screen only displays 56,000 colors, instead of 262,000 like the original Chocolate phone... Hope that's a typo otherwise thats just sad.
The KU800 is not available yet in the UK, but according to Vodafone's press release, it will be in shops by Christmas.

Has anyone figured out what's causing the message "This operation is not permitted" when trying to run/install a java app on the LG phones?
Is it an LG firmware restriction or a provider firmware restriction or just something daft like a non signed java program?
Cheers
Julz

Same problem as martin and daniel. This phone was built 2005. But why I haven't find any solution abut this "operation's not permitted" solution over the i-net?

I have a problem with my new LG KU800, hope you can help me
Want to run some java application or game...
I downloaded some free apps and games and upload it to the phone via bluetooth.
I upload .jar and .jad files, keeping eye on java version (MIDP 2.0). On the web it says that it is compatible with KU800
It stores in Bluetooth files.
any time I trie to run .jad or .jar file a message pop-up says "this operation is permitted"
Can you give me a hand with it?
Thanks a lot
Martin
