"Technigga" gets Loren Feldman dropped from Verizon

Loren Feldman
, a comedian who through his 1938 Media production shingle has been releasing videos on Verizon's V CAST service has just had his distribution deal terminated, following protests to a year old sketch he did, "Where are the Black Tech Bloggers?"

The sketch has him wondering why there are no black tech bloggers (false, but beside the point), and then acting out what he things that would be like. The result is he looks more like a Jewish pirate than any African American, but he says "yo, yo" and "nigga" a lot and commits the cardinal sin of comedy - making Dane Cook seem funny by comparison.

Anyway, while the 2007 Technigga sketch was never even offered on Verizon, the cellular carrier probably correctly assessed that the bad PR wasn't worth it for a niche parody brand that only appealed to tech bloggers, and cut ties with Feldman.

Anyway, Feldman responded by apologized for his comments, as worded here:

"I want to apologize to all the black tech bloggers. It could have been any ethnic group. It could have been gay guys, could have been Jews, could have been micks, skinnies, chinks, any of them...It was just your guys' bad luck that it went down that way...I'm a fucking idiot comedian and I did this."

(he's since gone back to using the word "nigga" on his Podtech sit.)
