Actual antique phones aren't this expensive!

(untrue, I actually checked.) 

But still... the West Elm Telephone Pillow Cover is expensive. Made of ivory colored silk satin, it will set you back 29 dollars. And then another $10- $13 if you actually want a pillow. Then another $8 in shipping and processing fees.

So really it's a $50... and while that might seem like a lot, it would be even worse in 1930s terms. If this pillow was sold in the period it's trying to be authentic to, $50 was worth $623.35 .
