Survey: Which wireless carrier sucks the least?

J.D. Power and Associates, which rates the major wireless companies every six months, just came out with their lastest list and it looks like Verizon Wireless and Alltell are the big winners.

The way it works is J.D. Power questions 22,000 wireless customers on seven issues: dropped calls, static/interference, failed connections on the first try, voice distortion, echoes, no immediate voice mail notification, and no immediate text message notification.

Verizon Wireless was voted the best in the Northeast Region, Mid-Atlantic Region, West Region, and tied for first in the SouthWest Region. Alltel was the leader in the SouthEast region and tied for first in the North Central Region. Rounding out the list, U.S. Cellular was the other company tied for first in the North Central, and Sprint Nextel tied in the SouthWest Region.

Among the big losers? AT&T and Kanye West, who failed to pick up a Moon Man for the second consecutive year.
