Stephen Colbert hauls out the atone phone for Yom Kippur

When you think about Stephen Colbert, the first word to come to mind isn't Jewish.

(That's because he's not.)

But one Jewish custom he seems to have latched onto is asking everyone you've wronged in the last year for forgiveness. Career parrot Gilbert Gottfried calls up his atone phone hotline (he'll do anything to get back on TV) and asked forgiveness for wishing Colbert ill. That's the basic plot of the sketch but if you know Gilbery Gottfried the comedy is in the embellishment.

Check it out here.
