Sprint pitchman Payton Manning to host SNL
Sprint pitchman Payton Manning, who I understand also has a promising career as the NFL's best quarterback has just agreed to host the March 24edition of Saturday Night Live, which is coincidently also his 31 birthday.
While aside from Payton getting into catfights with his own kicker, this is Manning's first forey into comedy, and he follows in the footsteps of other quarterbacks Fran Tarkenton, Joe Montana, Tom Brady, who have also made turns as SNL hosts.
To get primed, here's Payton's Sprint commercial as well as his classic ESPN promo.
UPDATE: at the bottom is the opening monologue to his SNL appearance. Don't feel bad Payton, my mom never made it to the NFL either.

A couple of years ago Payton, got in this hilarious fight with his kicker Mike Vanderjagt after Mike called out Manning's leadership skills. The original story is liked above.
That's not his kicker, that's his younger brother Eli. He's the quarterback for the New York Giants.
