Scarlet Johansson makes cell phone recycling sexy
I'm a big Frank Miller fan, but in a Frank Miller world big burly men put out cigarettes on their own arms. Dames get punched in the face, lick the blood off their lips and beg for more. Put simply, a Frank Miller movie doesn't really seem conducive to a recycling campaign.
I mean what would that be, "TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL... on biodegradable plates"?
Regardless, actresses Scarlet Johansson and Eve Mendes are at the center of an effort to raise awareness about cell phone recycling, posing in these print ads as their alter ego's from the upcoming Frank Miller movie "The Spirit". The campaign asserts that if more people recycle, less new cell phones will be made and CO2 emissions will go down.
"Answer the call, be a hero" is the tagline for the ads but just ignore the fact that Frank Miller only writes antiheroes. It's for a good cause.
