Save wet cell phone with a bowl of rice

Ever dropped your cell phone into the toilet? your toilet? any toilet? ever lost a precious cell phone to the cold harshness of water and humidity? if the answer is yes, here's something that might cheer you up the next time you get too clumsy, or totally drunk in the bathroom: Washington Post's writer Ernesto LondoƱo writes about his beloved Blackberry's saving crusade using a bowl of rice.

Once dropped into the the toilet, the poor Blackberry started losing life points very quickly. Oh, they all do. But then came the magic advice from a magical friend: by putting the BlackBerry inside a bowl of rice, it can be saved - and that's because rice sucks out moisture. Simple, yet very handy, especially if you're bald and can't find any hair dryer around.

Next up: how to save a wet iPhone with a bowl of peanut butter and jelly. Stay tuned.
