Is Photoshop coming to mobile phones?

The sad answer is not really.

Photoshop maker Adobe has just announced that starting next month they're rebranding Photoshop Express into Photoshop.com, and adding a Photoshop.com mobile application, which while it sounds promising, can only organize your photos and send them to Photoshop.com - there's no component of the application that will accomplish what we really want; photo editing on our cell phones.

Once it's on Photoshop.com you can actually edit the photos, but you can do that with any number of online photo programs, and we expect more from an industry leader like Adobe.

Additionally, when it debuts Photoshop.com mobile will only be in Beta and available on a limited number of handsets; the Motorola Q9, Samsung Blackjacks, and the Palm Treo 700 series.

You'll also be able to upload images to Photoshop.com via Shozu on the iPhone Pearl , Motorola RAZR, Nokias 5310 and 6301.

It you'd already been using Photoshop Express this might appeal to you, but otherwise I have no idea whe Photoshop.com Mobile would.
