Hug Shirt lets couples go overboard on the PDA, long distance

Is she smiling or in a straightjacket? Are you half of one of those annoying couples that can’t hang up the phone without that annoying conversation: “I love you”… “No I love you”… “Love you more!”

Confused why no one’s strangled you yet?

Maybe you should try harder with a Hug Shirt. The slightly bizarre, futuristic shirt comes with “technology pads” strategically placed where normal human contact occurs during a hug, and the sensors replicate the strength, warmth, and even the heartbeat felt during a real human embrace. The “hug” is sent to the person’s cell phone via text message; and their cell phone uses Bluetooth to transmit the hug to their clothing.

Anyway let’s get back to how this inevitably leads to violence…

It would take a bright hacker like five minutes to rig it so you could text message a guy’s shirt a “hug” that electroshocks him half to death.

Greatest… April Fool’s Prank… EVER.

she's bringing huggie back

(Editor’s Note: While Cell Geek insists on mocking the Hug Shirt, we’d like to point out if you just paid $300 for a glorified tee shirt; you’d want a hug too.)
