Did the iPhone really save the cell phone industry?
No, it's not just Apple PR machine, this might actually true. While every other major smartphone manufacturer has seen their worldwide market share dip in the last 3 months, headlined by Nokia's huge 20% drop, they now only have 43.6% of the market; the iPhone is growing by leaps and bounds, now owning 16.6% of the world smartphone market.
iPhone Apps: SMS Touch good, Cell Freak better
Match the person to the phone number scam
I just came across this website Reverse Phone Detective that basically specializes in matching the names and addresses of people with unlisted phone numbers. It's a total scam.
First of all, the only way this service would be useful is if they can track down the information behind "private numbers" but the only information they ask for is to enter the phone number number to look up. That's the one piece of information you'd be after with a private number!
Netflix Phone Number: tracking Netflix down
It seems like a simple enough task, if you want to contact a major business like Netflix, just go to their website and find the Netflix phone number. Unfortunately it seems like the geeks have inherited the earth and they don't really like talking on the phone. Finding the Netflix phone number is harder than finding a Blockbuster location that's still open.
Motorola cancels the RAZR3... Christmas next
Okay, I just made that last part, although if you're a Motorola employee that might be true with their layoffs and all but the main point is Motorola has decided to cancel research and production on the third generation of RAZR phones, code named Ruby, before it is even brought to market.
Will Texas prisons be allowed to use cell phone jammers?
Prisons the last few years have been dealing with an increasingly dangerous problem of inmates using cell phones. While it's illegal for prisons to have cell phones in their cells, there's little stopping compromised prison guards or other prison officials to smuggling them in. Cell phone sniffing dogs are being piloted in such states like Florida, but Texas prison officials feel more effective solution would be using a cell phone jamming system developed by CellAntenna Corp.
Obama: keeping my Blackberry is for the greater good!
He's kept it no secret that if you want to take his Blackberry away, you'll have to pry it from his cold, dying hand, but now Barack Obama is telling Barbara Walters that him getting to keep his Blackberry as president is for your own good:
iPhone News: Apple stores will start price matching
Apparently Apple doesn't just want you to buy iPhones, they want you to buy an iPhone directly from them. Apple has just announced a new policy that they'll now match the price on any authorized competitors prices in Apple Stores. From iPhones, to iPods, to every other Apple product, you officially won't find a cheaper price than in an Apple Store.
Doesn't free SMS look like fun?
Ah, look at how much fun it llooks to be young again. Not a care in the world, not a bill yet to pay.
Seriously, crap is expensive! Forget about your body sagging, I just want to go back in time so my parents will pick up the tab on everything again. Well I don't have a time machine, but The Cell Freak's Free Worldwide SMS can take care of at least one of your expenses.
