Sound strange? Well, there are people who's job it is to think of weird and freaky stuff like this. Not a bad way to make a living, huh? Bridgeport student Manon Maneenawa, for example, won first place and $10,000 at the CTIA Wireless 2006 in Las Vegas for his design of the Triple Watch cell phone.

The design is actually a wrist watch that can transform into a cool cell phone - you can literally take the unit out of the wrist band and use it as a normal regular cellphone. You can talk with the Triple Watch cellphone using the speaker phone while wearing it on your wrist (and feel like you're starring in a Star Trek flick…) or you can simply use the nice bluetooth feature. Both features will allow you to answer the phone and carry on a conversation or hung up.

I think it’s a pretty cool gadget and I was trying to find out if it will ever hit the market - but no one really seems to know...
