Anyone who knows the Cell Geek knows he's profoundly lazy, (like too lazy to speak about in himself in first person), which is what makes him think 8hands is such a cool idea. Having just been officially launched, he (oh…right me) has been playing around with the Beta version for a couple of weeks.

Basically what it does is it's a social network aggregator. Apart from acting as normal IM; it also can also keep tabs on your friends and messages from up to ten different social network sites, so you don't even have to leave your desktop to read what people are saying about you on sites like MySpace, Youtube, and Flickr.

So for instance, if someone leaves you MySpace comments or even say you got messages on two different MySpace accounts, they would all automatically be readable on 8hands without even having to open an internet browser. Additionally, if the person sending you a message also has 8hands; you can just continue the conversation through IM.

The only problem is, the big loser (me again); can't get anyone to IM him! You can rectify the situation by IM-ing him through 8hands at Cohenj88.
